Carro autónomo atropela mortalmente no Arizona
Vítima é uma mulher. O carro estava ao serviço da Uber.
Um carro autónomo, ao serviço da Uber, atropelou uma mulher que acabou por morrer no hospital, no estado do Arizona.
O The Guardian avança que a mulher estava fora da passadeira quando foi atropelada.
As autoridades da cidade de Tempe, onde aconteceu o acidente, explicaram que o carro tinha um operador, mas quando se deu o atropelamento, o veículo estava em modo automático.
A Uber já reagiu ao acidente, com uma mensagem no Twitter, em que garante que vai colaborar com as autoridades.

A empresa Uber foi a primeira no teste de carros autónomos em vários estados norte-americanos.
No ano passado, o uso destes veículos foi suspenso, precisamente no Arizona, por causa de um acidente.
Este foi o primeiro atropelamento mortal com um destes carros nos Estados Unidos.

A tragic accident happened. We don’t even know the details, so how can u even blame the technology? Just two weeks ago in NYC, a lady ran a red light and killed two children crossing in a crosswalk.

It was s matter of time. Replacing people with automation comes down to a matter of Greed. If Uber was more concerned about Humans being able to support themselves rather than lining the pockets of a few, this would not have happened.
