Olivia Rodrigo lidera nomeações para os American Music Awards

Já são conhecidos os nomeados para os American Music Awards 2021. A cantora Olivia Rodrigo lidera a corrida com sete nomeações, incluindo as de Artista do Ano e Revelação do Ano. A estrela da Disney também concorre aos galardões de Melhor Canção Pop, Melhor Canção das Tendências e Melhor Vídeo (as três com 'Drivers License'), além de Melhor Artista Feminina e Melhor Álbum Pop, com "Sour", o disco de estreia que editou este ano.

The Weeknd está nomeado em seis categorias: Artista do Ano, Melhor Vídeo (com 'Save Your Tears'), Melhor Artista Masculino, Melhor Canção Pop (com 'Save Your Tears', versão remix que divide com Ariana Grande), Melhor Artista Masculino R&B e Melhor Canção Latina, nomeação que partilha com Maluma para o tema 'Hawái (Remix)'.

Bad Bunny, Doja Cat e Giveon posicionam-se a seguir, com cinco nomeações cada um. Ariana Grande, BTS, Drake e Taylor Swift completam a lista de nomeados para Artista do Ano.

A entrega de prémios está marcada para o dia 21 de novembro, em Los Angeles, nos Estados Unidos.
