Esta quinta-feira, 27 de junho, e à semelhança do que já tinha acontecido em Brighton (Inglaterra), Patti Smith cantou uma versão emotiva de 'Summertime Sadness', canção que Lana Del Rey editou em 2012. Foi no concerto que Smith deu em Dublin, Irlanda, e a poucos dias de atuar em Portugal.
A artista norte-americana dedicou a versão ao marido Fred Smith, com quem casou em 1980. O casal teve dois filhos, Jackson e Jesse Smith. Fred Smith, que integrava a banda MC5, morreu em 1994.
